Revamping My Blog

I haven’t been very good at keeping up on this blog.  So, I’ve decided to revamp the blog to ensure I write on here more often.

One of the things I’ve started doing is reviewing books, and I find I enjoy it.  Reviews are important for indie writers, but they’re also vital for readers.  For myself, reviews have turned me onto books I might never have otherwise picked up.

Since the name of this blog is The Fringes of Reality and my passion is for fantasy, I will mostly be reviewing fantasy/paranormal/sci-fi books.  However, I occasionally leave that genre, so sometimes you will find reviews of romance, horror, suspense thrillers, etc.

I will also be posting snippets of my own work from time to time and posting writing related content.

So, stay tuned, and I will be back within the week with the first book review!

Sarah lives in Oregon on a beautiful half-acre with her husband and children. She has a BA in English Language and Literature and has been writing off and on since she was young. When she doesn't have her nose stuck in a book or laptop, she loves being out in nature, eating real food, and spending time with her amazing grandchildren. She is the author of the short story "Forbidden Child" in the Shades of Fear Anthology. www.smlowry.com

  1. Speaking for this indie author, this is a great idea. Feedback is very important. Good feedback makes us feel great. And even critical feedback makes us try harder. You will help a lot of authors AND turn your readers on to some great books at the same time. Thank you!

    1. That’s what I’m hoping for! I have found so many wonderful indie authors and their books recently through Facebook and blogs that I would have never come across otherwise. I want to help others find them too.
